This is a very vintage looking lampshade with four oval panels that carry two different cherub images. The cherub images are printed on silk, and the silk panels are covered with “sugaring” or “sugar glass”. This is an old technique used by early shade makers to simulate the look of glass when the shade is lighted. The images do light up nicely.

The colors are shades of soft green and mauve. The smaller panels are a pleated charmeuse silk in a soft green.

The cherubs are surrounded with hand painted French lace - sprinkled with small Swarovski rhinestones in crystal, burgundy, and green.

The thick custom-dyed silky fringe is overlaid with six-inch mauve beaded fringe.
